An award-winning ceramist based in Wakayama, he works with Japanese porcelain—which is denser and less porous than traditional earthenware—and selects vibrant colours, including Japanese indigo blue, to illuminate each surface. Fascinated by the unpredictability of molten glazes, he channels his artistic vision into each piece to reveal the diversity and beauty of ceramics. These two turquoise vases are a striking demonstration of this.
