Through design, his creative approach explores the dialogue between the conflicting emotions we experience in our daily lives. His work combines contemporary technologies with traditional craftsmanship in a multidisciplinary approach where the process is just as important as the final object. He mainly uses recycled aluminium and reclaimed materials, steeped in history, transforming them into pieces with a strong emotional dimension, thereby affirming the value of giving a second life to what is often overlooked. Ergo is a lamp at the heart of a sensitive concept born of a design drawing its inspiration from the feelings, presence and contemplation that define Francisco Juliá’s work. Ergo forms part of a collection of five different lamps, each drawing inspiration from intimate perceptions transformed into luminous objects with their own distinct identity. As always in his approach, the starting point is recycled aluminium, a material with many lives. Collected, remelted and patiently shaped, it becomes the medium that gives Ergo its form.
