La Grande SiccitaÌ Paolo Pallucco & Mireille Rivier Sofa Steel, foam, fabric 1988 H93.5 W161.8 D100 cm Paolo Pallucco and Mireille Rivier designed this postmodern sofa in the 1980s. Two blocks of different heights, upholstered in black leather, rest on a steel frame which in turn rests on two castors. The black leather backrest is visually distorted by a steel cable. This creates an asymmetrical shape. Frame made of steel angle sections and tubes, stainless steel pull-handles, metal parts finished with black epoxy powder coating Swivel castors with brakes; polyurethane foam padding in varying densities; fabric covers that are fully removable and dry-cleanable; fixed covers in imitation leather, Lorica and genuine leather.
