Beate Andersen (born 1942) Bowl with swirling engraved decoration Stoneware Circa 1990 H16.5 D12 cm Signed with the artist’s monogram ‘B’ Beate Andersen is one of Denmark’s leading ceramic artists. Her work is often characterised by delicate decorative geometric motifs that emphasise the forms and enhance the optical effects. Beate Andersen studied at the Danish School of Arts and Crafts between 1960 and 1964. Early in her career, she worked as a designer for Dansk Design, before going on to work from her own studio in Allerød.
