PIERRE CHAPO (1927–1987) Dining table – model T14B Solid elm Designed circa 1960–1964 H74 W183 D84 cm A thick rectangular top with sloping, rounded edges resting on two substantial pillars joined by a tall crossbar. Designed in the 1960s, the T14 table is one of Pierre Chapo’s most iconic designs. Its deliberately architectural construction particularly highlights the mass and grain of the wood, whilst the profiled edges of the top and the powerful base lend it an almost monumental character.
