Enric Mestre was a contemporary of Jorge Oteiza and
Eduardo Chillida. Primarily recognised for his
work in sculptural ceramics, he developed an
artistic language based on geometry,
architecture and the balance of forms. His works,
often minimalist and monumental, play with
volumes, openings and light, creating a
subtle dialogue between interior and exterior space.
Enric Mestre has influenced several generations of
contemporary ceramic artists. His work has been exhibited
internationally and features in numerous
public and private collections. Through his
minimalist and rigorous approach, he is now regarded
as one of the leading figures in
contemporary ceramics.
