Gerard Moliné (born in 1977)
Gerard Moliné is neither a potter nor a ceramist. He is an industrial designer,
a creator of the new generation with an interest in the materials traditionally used by craftspeople. For some time now, he has been particularly drawn to clay because of its malleability and expressiveness; he is fascinated by the various stages this material undergoes from the moment it is extracted from its natural environment: the erosion and dissolution caused by water, its malleability in the potter’s hands and its hardening when exposed to fire.
