First edition of the final issue of the important avant-garde journal *L’Architecture Vivante*, published under the editorship of the architect Jean Badovici. In very good condition. Original portfolio retained. This issue is devoted in particular to hospitals, sanatoriums, clinics, nursing homes and retirement homes, and bears witness to modern architecture’s exploration of healthcare and hospital programmes during the interwar period. Published as loose sheets and plates in an original laced portfolio, characteristic of the journal. *L’Architecture Vivante*, published between 1923 and 1933, was one of the leading French journals devoted to the emergence of modern and international architecture, showcasing in particular the works of the leading figures of the European architectural avant-garde.
