Édouard-Marcel Sandoz was a Swiss-born animal sculptor. He also designed porcelain models for Haviland. His work forms part of the Art Deco tradition of animal sculpture, alongside that of François Pompon, Rembrandt Bugatti, Georges Guyot and Armand Petersen. His animals can also be compared to the bestiary of François-Xavier and Claude Lalanne.
