Mirror comprising three hinged panels set in brass frames. The side panels fold back onto the central panel, allowing the opening and angles of reflection to be adjusted. Two wall fixings are fitted at the top of the central panel.
Founded in 1826 by François Brot, a mirror-maker at the court of Charles X, Maison Brot is renowned for its dressing mirrors and hinged reflective devices. The triptych, which first appeared in the company’s history in 1875, is one of the firm’s iconic creations; the company also developed the Mirophare illuminated mirror in 1927.
