Description
Vico Magistretti Maralunga A sofa with generously upholstered proportions, combining a deep seat with enveloping armrests. The upper section of each of the two backrests can be raised or lowered independently, allowing the backrest to be adjusted to suit each user’s position. The mechanism, patented by Cassina and concealed within the upholstery, utilises a bicycle chain. This distinctive articulation transforms the sofa’s silhouette whilst prioritising comfort. Produced by Cassina, Italy — Collection 675 Model created in 1973 H72 W166 D95 cm Created in 1973, the Maralunga is one of the iconic creations of Italian design. Vico Magistretti, a Milanese architect and designer, graduated from the Politecnico di Milano in 1945.
