Description
Cesare Augusto Nava NAC modular model White and blue coffee table Lacquered wood H40 W115 D115 cm Italian coffee table designed by Cesare Augusto Nava in 1970. This is a prototype from Cesare Augusto Nava’s small ‘Design’ collection; the piece comes with a certificate of authenticity. Nava’s training was shaped by the great architect Gio Ponti; it is thanks to him that his creations were distinguished by the meticulous attention paid to every detail. His exploration of space and geometric balance makes each of his creations a small masterpiece combining aesthetic elegance and modernity. This coffee table from the ‘Design’ collection consists of four squares arranged in a chequerboard pattern, which open via a mechanism. The chequerboard pattern features two dominant colours: white and blue. Once opened, the table reveals a central compartment that serves as a storage space and, most notably, lights up. The coffee table bears the designer’s signature.
