Description
Sacred art. Father Ilarion MURESAN (1942–2023), Romania. A set of three works mounted under glass depicting Christ, the Tree of Life (signed and dated 1981 – 34.5 x 29.5 cm), Christ crowned, surrounded by two angels (33 x 28.5 cm) and the Last Supper (signed and dated 1986, 35 x 30 cm). These icons were painted by Archdeacon Ilarion Muresan of the Monastery of the Dormition of the Virgin Mary in Nicula. A retrospective exhibition of Father Ilarion’s paintings took place in 2022 in Cluj-Napoca.
