Pair of engravings under glass, embellished (mother-of-pearl flakes, sequins, watercolour) depicting the Virgin and Child and Saint Francis Xavier, a Jesuit. 19th century. 35 x 28 cm each. Water stain in the top left-hand corner of the frame of the Virgin. An inscription on the reverse states that these frames belonged to Hortense L’Hôte-Cuny, sister of Marie Welsch-Cuny and Camille Cuny.
