Description
Hyacinthe BLAISE (1888–1955), Lorraine. A remarkable model spinning wheel made from turned bone. Fully functional. Early 20th century. Diameter of the large wheel: 5.7 cm. Length: 14.5 cm. One foot and the adjustment screw for the spindle holder are missing. This model was made whilst Blaise was a prisoner of war in Bavaria during the First World War.
