A so-called ‘notary’s’ pillar clock, in black marble and sea-green marble, with half-columns. The dial, featuring Arabic numerals, is inscribed with ‘A l’espérance. Henri Godchot, 31 and 31 bis Boulevard Saint-Martin, Paris’. Blade movement. With its mercury pendulum and winding key. Late 19th century. H. = 37.3 cm. The blade holding the pendulum is chipped; very slight pitting on the marble.
