Description
PEXONNE factory, Lorraine. ‘Voilier’ model. Art Deco dinner service comprising a soup tureen, a cake stand, an oval dish and plates. Unmarked, circa 1930. Minor damage. Listed in Yseult Bouriez’s book, *French Earthenware Tea Sets, 19th–20th Centuries*, published by Cercle d’art, 2006, p. 43 (model 11). Also included is a part of an Art Deco tea set marked SFNG (the ‘Abel’ model) depicting Pierrot and his candle. Minor damage. Attribution to a specific manufacturer (Creil-Montereau) is not clear: see Yseult Bouriez’s book, *French Earthenware Tea Sets, 19th–20th Centuries*, published by Cercle d’art, 2006, p. 430 (model 410).
