Manufactured by SAINT-CLEMENT, Lorraine. Part of a glazed earthenware tea set with a painted design of barbel fish and cornflowers, comprising plates, a soup tureen and its stand, a cake dish, etc. Unsigned, early 20th century. Minor imperfections. Listed in Yseult Bouriez’s book, *French Earthenware Tea Sets, 19th–20th Centuries*, published by Cercle d’art, 2006, p. 207 (model 180). Included is part of a tea set with the same design, but printed.
