Manufactured by NIMY MOUZIN-LECAT (Belgium). A polychrome glazed earthenware tea set featuring a printed design of humorous vignettes, comprising plates, serving dishes and a soup tureen (without its lid). Stamped ‘Ivoire’, referring to the clay body, circa 1880–1890. Good condition. Listed in Yseult Bouriez’s book, *French Earthenware Tea Sets, 19th–20th Centuries*, published by Cercle d’art, 2006, p. 523 (model 508).
