Description
B. BOHRMANN NACHFOLER (Germany). Silver-plated metal service set comprising : - three covered conical teapots with stylised interlaced monograms on the body CRL - an asparagus tong with chased and monogrammed decoration - an asparagus drainer - a tea strainer. A silvered metal tumbler and a tea strainer stamped RENAUD and J. CLERMONT Genève.
Note: The monograms CRL stand for Carlotta and Richard Leubner. The Leubner couple, of German nationality, arrived in Menton with their children around 1888. Richard W. Leubner had been running the Hotel Victoria et des Princes since 1889. This new hotel appeared under the name Grand Hôtel Leubner on a map of the town and in advertisements in 1913.
