He is regarded as one of the most versatile and experimental masters of modern etching in Germany. Until his retirement, he worked as a secondary school teacher in Munich. For decades, he served on the board of the renowned Association for Original Etchings. Hessel lives and works in Munich. Related Artists and Terms: Munich Academy of Fine Arts, Mac Zimmermann, Horst Sauerbruch, aquatint etching, colour etching, German artists PLEASE NOTE: The purchase price comprises the highest bid plus the buyer’s premium, VAT and, where applicable, the artists’ resale rights fee and platform fee.
