He became known for his multifaceted body of printmaking work, which often took a critical look at modern, technology-driven life. Heuer’s work is characterised by delicate line structures and complex, often collage-like scenes. His works reflect megastructures, wiring, and symbols of the modern high-tech world. He often contrasted these with natural relics to address humanity’s alienation from its origins. His body of work includes etchings, chalk drawings, paintings and numerous book illustrations.
