Postenrieder created informal oil paintings, acrylic works and mixed-media pieces featuring dynamic fields of colour, spontaneous gestures and material texture, influenced by Viennese Actionism, Tachisme and international Abstract Expressionism; large-format compositions characterised by raw energy and a process-oriented painting style.
