Untitled (6-2005). 2000. Relief. Tracing paper, folded and die-cut, with an inlaid serigraph in cobalt blue on vellum. 21 x 15 cm. Signed, dated, titled and numbered. Mounted at points on a backing board, framed under glass. - The silkscreen print shows slight superficial scuffing in places, partly due to the tracing paper; this is only visible when viewed at an angle. Overall, the work is in very good condition and exceptionally beautiful. A magnificent example with a visually playful effect.
One of 20 copies. - In his artistic practice, Staudt repeatedly draws on the geometric form of the square, arranging it in rhythmic sequences to great visual effect. The resulting playful compositions come together to form visually sophisticated, three-dimensional objects, housed in Plexiglas cases. Depending on the angle of the light, they appear to be set in motion, creating a dynamic interplay of light and shadow across a spectrum of luminous colours.
