Austrian Post-War Hundertwasser, Friedensreich Waiting for love hurts when love is different. 1971/72. Colour silkscreen print with metal embossing on Schoeller-Stern vellum (with dry stamp). 36.2 x 60 cm (viewing dimensions 48.3 x 65.5 cm). Signed and double-numbered. Framed behind glass, unopened. – Paper has slight light-induced discolouration at the edges. Overall, appears to be in very good condition. A magnificent print, rich in colour and high in contrast, with margins. Koschatzky / HWG 46 (630 A). - One of 3,000 from the plate and 300 hand-numbered special edition copies. Within the print run, all prints ending in a ‘3’ are additionally hand-signed and hand-numbered. - The third sheet from the series ‘Look at it on a rainy day’. - Published by Ars Viva, Zurich, and printed at Dietz Offizin, Lengmoos (each bearing their gold-embossed stamps) as well as two Japanese Inkan stamps. - Based on Work 630 ‘Maison jaunes – Jalousie’ from 1966. Colour silkscreen print with metallic embossing on Schoeller-Stern wove paper (with blind-stamped mark). Signed and bearing two numbering annotations. Framed behind glass, unopened. - The paper shows slight mat burn. Otherwise apparently in very good condition. Splendid, colour-rich and high-contrast print with margins. - One of 3,000 copies numbered on the plate, and one of 300 hand-numbered deluxe copies. Within the edition, all copies whose edition number ends in ‘3’ were additionally hand-signed and hand-numbered. - The third sheet from the series ‘Look at It on a Rainy Day’. - Published by Ars Viva and printed by Dietz Offizin, both bearing their respective gilt-stamped seals, and additionally featuring two Japanese Inkan seals. - Following the 1966 work ‘Maison jaunes – Jalousie’ (Work no. 630). *This lot is subject to standard tax.
