Composition bleue. 1973. Colour lithograph on Arches-Velin (with artist’s mark). 58.6 x 44 cm (76 x 54.7 cm). Signed in stone and numbered by hand. Mounted in places beneath the passe-partout. – Browning in the passe-partout cut-out and along the edges; lower edge with a folded crease; reverse side more heavily browned, with original light-faded mounting strips along the top edge, with narrow mounting marks on the outer edges; in good condition overall. An excellent, exceptionally richly coloured print with margins, including the artist’s margin on the right.
Riviére 82. – One of 180 copies. - Printed by Charles Sorlier, Paris, with his typographic lettering in the stone. - Published by Dina Vierny, Paris. - After a gouache from 1959. - To mark an exhibition of the artist’s work at the Galerie Dina Vierny, Paris, 1973.
