Head and Reading Aid: The Great Dismantling. 2001–2006. Airbrush paint on chipboard. 39.8 x 32.1 x 11 cm. Numbered on the reverse and stamped with the seal of the Retrograde Strategies collective. – Slight wear to the edges; one corner has a small chip. Overall, very good condition. The colours are vibrant.
One of 300 copies. – Created in collaboration between the artist and the Arbeitsgemeinschaft Retrograde Strategien. - The starting point for this series of works is a wall measuring 12.5 × 14.5 m, painted and spray-painted on both sides by Katharina Grosse in 2001 at the Hamburger Bahnhof, Berlin. Following its dismantling by the Arbeitsgemeinschaft Retrograde Strategien and students from the Berlin-Weißensee School of Art, the material from the work was transformed into multiples in the form of headrests and reading aids.
