British Postwar Surrealism Hayter, Stanley William c. 1970. Colour etching and soft-ground etching on BFK Rives Velin (with watermark). 54 x 46.8 cm (75.2 x 56.1 cm). Signed, dated, numbered and titled. – Slightly wavy along the upper and lower margins, with faint handling marks in places; the lower right-hand corner shows minimal creasing; slight surface soiling along the margins; on the reverse, slight rubbing in places at the top (as a trace of previous mounting). Overall, very good condition. A magnificent, vividly coloured print with margins. Black & Moorhead 349. - One of 20 Roman-numbered artist’s proofs. - Published by Georgetown Graphics, Washington DC, 1972. Surrealism. - Colour etching and soft-ground etching on BFK wove paper (with watermark). Signed, dated, numbered and titled. - Slightly wavy at the top and bottom margins, occasional faint handling marks, minimal creasing to the lower right corner, slight surface soiling to the margin, small area of slight rubbing on the reverse (trace of previous mounting).
