Untitled. Circa 1970. Brown-glazed ceramic. 23 x 14 x 12 cm. Signed in incised lettering below the base. - Only isolated and sporadic instances of minimal, barely noticeable scuffing. Overall in very good condition. A magnificent piece, modelled with an organic, supple form.
Tim Orr, born in England in 1940, is a versatile sculptor, ceramicist and painter. He has lived and worked in France since 1960. Together with his wife Jacqueline, he formed a creative and experimental artistic duo who engaged intensively with the artistic design of porcelain. Both realised numerous projects in public spaces. Following Jacqueline’s death in 1989, Orr moved to Brissac, where he has lived and worked ever since.
Brown-glazed ceramic. Engraved signature beneath the base. Only a few isolated and sporadic spots with minimal and barely noticeable wear. Overall in very well-preserved condition.
