Monogrammed and numbered on a label on the reverse. Mounted in an original paper sleeve. – The corners and, in places, the edges show minimal scuffing or rubbing; the edges on the reverse are slightly browned. Overall in very good condition. A magnificent, chalky-looking print of the image in full format. Bastian 28. – One of 250 copies. – Published by the Association of Progressive German Art Dealers e.V., Cologne. - Cy Twombly’s works are characterised by a dynamic, spontaneous energy that manifests itself in strokes, wavy lines and fragmentary characters. At first glance, these elements appear as chaotic ‘scribbles’, but can be read as poetic, expressive records of autobiographical experiences. Twombly’s compositions combine personal narrative with a universal aesthetic impact by actively involving the viewer in the process of meaning-making and evoking their own memories and emotional responses. In this way, the works intertwine the individual with the universal and open up a space between expression, memory and reception. Offset lithograph in grey and black on light wove card.
