Partially mounted on backing board. - Edges partially and minimally bumped; a few faint, barely visible scuffs. Overall, very good condition. Hilger/Zwingenberger GS3-06. - One of 50 copies. - Published by Galerie Ernst Hilger, Vienna 2006. - Printed by Carini, S Giovanni Valdarno. - With the Superman motif, Ramos returns to the beginnings of his creative work: at the start of his career, he drew inspiration from American comics and the superhero iconography of Batman and Flash Gordon. With this work, the artist poses the question of what has become of this hero of popular culture after forty years, and how the boundary between icon, brand and art object has shifted since then.
