Modern Photography Ruff, Thomas 3 works. cassini/zycles. 2010. Each a Ditone print on heavy-weight vellum. Each 46 x 46 cm (85 x 68 cm) or 85 x 68 cm. Each signed and numbered on the reverse, and bearing the publisher’s stamp. – Overall in very good condition. Magnificent, exceptionally rich in colour and finely detailed prints of compositions that partly fill the format, with a grainy, high-contrast and vibrant effect. Schellmann 180–182. – One of 30 copies each. – Published by Edition Schellmann, Munich/New York. - ‘cassini/zycles’ brings together two series of works by Thomas Ruff: the first sheet is from the ‘cassini’ series, for which Ruff digitally processed raw data from NASA’s Cassini space probe and transformed it into abstract-looking colour spaces.
