One of 125 copies. – Published by Galerie Moderne, Silkeborg. – Corneille was one of the co-founders of the CoBrA artists’ group. He lived and worked in Paris from 1950 onwards, but undertook extensive travels to Asia, Africa and America throughout his life. Following a trip to Cuba in 1967, his visual language became much more symbolic; the works in the portfolio ‘Tigres Amoureux’ also combine dynamic colours and playful forms to express the vitality of his characteristic female and animal motifs.
