As a co-founder of the Cologne-based artists’ group ‘Mülheimer Freiheit’, Peter Bömmels is one of the leading figures of the Neue Wilde movement. In his often minimalist pictorial spaces, figures and hybrid creatures appear, oscillating between comedy, absurdity and the realm of dreams.
