Modern and Contemporary Art German Post-War Modernism Brämer, Ulrich Forbidden Fruit Brings Suffering. 1969. Oil on canvas. 50 x 60 cm. Signed, labelled on the reverse. - A few isolated light foxing spots. Overall in very good condition. The colours are fresh. After studying at the Folkwang School in Essen in the late 1950s, Ulrich Brämer continued his training at the Werkkunstschule in Düsseldorf in the early 1960s. The Essen-based artist took part in numerous group exhibitions, including at the Galerie Ludorff in Düsseldorf, and also presented his work in a variety of solo exhibitions in the Ruhr region, including at the Ruhr University Bochum. Brämer gained particular renown for his extensive woodcut series. Oil on canvas. Signed, inscribed on a label on the reverse. – Occasional minor foxing. Overall very good.
