Each signed, dated and numbered, some with inscriptions in another hand. – Sheets slightly browned due to age; some with remnants of previous mounting on the reverse. Overall in very good condition. Excellent, finely detailed prints with a chalky effect.
Trökes D 08/1947. – One of 50 copies each. – Early prints by Heinz Trökes from the year he co-founded the Galerie Gerd Rosen in Berlin. Set against surreal, highly charged backdrops, the prints depict fantastical creatures that oscillate between human, animal and abstraction, vividly showcasing Trökes’ post-war surrealism.
