Encounter on the Elbe. 1995. Colour silkscreen print on smooth, lightweight vellum. 68.2 x 49 cm (84.2 x 59.5 cm). Signed and titled. – Paper very slightly wavy at the edges, slight handling marks and creases in places; on the reverse, sporadic, faint soiling; small label; overall in good condition. A magnificent print, rich in colour and high in contrast, with margins.
One of 1,000 copies. – Published by Edition Staeck, Heidelberg. - From the 20-part portfolio series ‘Erinnern 1945–1995’, which featured works by Rune Mields, Michael Morgner, Thomas Bayrle and Nam June Paik, amongst others, alongside Penck’s works.
