Modern and Contemporary Art Classical Modernism - Miró, Joan Le chien aboyant à la lune. 1952. Colour lithograph on vellum. 35.5 x 53 cm. Three-part fold-out double sheet with a central fold. - Minimal traces of production and stitching along the vertical centre fold. Barely noticeable surface wear. Overall in very good condition. A magnificent, colour-rich print. Cf. Mourlot 121. – From the art magazine ‘Verve’ (Volume VII, No. 27/28). Published by E. Tériade, Paris. Printed at the Mourlot workshop. - When closed, the front of the sheet features a surrealist poem (Graphisme-poème) calligraphied directly onto the stone by Miró. The reverse side depicts a minimalist, symbolic composition. Colour lithograph on woven paper. Three-part foldable double sheet with a central fold. - Minor production and binding marks along the vertical centre fold. Minimal surface wear. Overall in very good condition.
