2 linocuts. 1962. Each on vellum. Each 27 x 33 cm (32 x 38.5 cm). - A few tiny spots here and there, including on the reverse. Overall in very good condition; the colours are fresh.
Our prints are a reduced-scale version based on the linocuts of the same name from 1959. - Picasso invented the ‘reduction’ method, in which the same linoleum block was gradually cut away for each new colour, making it impossible to produce further prints from the original printing block. In 1962, in collaboration with Picasso and the Galerie Louise Leiris, new linocut plates were produced at 42 per cent of the original size; this work is taken from that edition.
