Quatre Hommes nus assis. 1931. Etching on Rives-Velin (with watermark). 32 x 25 cm (54.5 x 46.5 cm). Mounted with a passe-partout. With remarks on the plate. – A few small brown spots here and there. Corners slightly bumped. Margins slightly yellowed. Overall in very good condition. A magnificent, crisp print with a wide margin.

Published by Albert Skira, Lausanne. – The work is part of the suite of so-called ‘Planches biffées’ or ‘Cancelled Plates’ for *Les Métamorphoses d’Ovid*. These are prints from the printing plates that were defaced after the run was completed. - The edition formed part of a supplementary suite produced exclusively for loyal collectors in a small print run of just 100 copies.
