Figurative Composition. 1960s. Etching on BFK Rives-Velin (with watermark). 34.7 x 24.6 cm (38.2 x 27.9 cm). Signed, inscribed ‘h.(ors de) c.(ommerce)’, numbered and monogrammed on the plate. - Very slight handling marks on the lower edge, barely visible stains. Overall in very good condition. Excellent, crisp print with a narrow margin, one side featuring the artist’s margin.
One of only 28 copies designated as ‘out of commerce’, prior to the print run. - Included: A signed lithograph by Werner Heuser, Abend (Der Stern), 1919.
Expressionism. - Etching on BFK Rives wove paper (with watermark). Signed, marked ‘h.(ors de) c.(ommerce)’ and numbered, as well as monogrammed in the plate. - Very slight handling marks on the lower margin, a few barely visible stains. Overall, very good condition. Superb, burr-like impression with a narrow margin, one side with a deckle edge. – One of only 28 ‘hors de commerce’ copies, produced prior to the edition. Included: as mentioned above.
