Journal of Emerging and Established Art. Volumes 2/1 and 3/1–2 in 3 volumes. Each comprising a woodcut (3) or lithograph (4) on vélin or machine-made paper. Each approx. 35.5 x 26.5 cm. – Original English paperbacks with colour lithographed cover titles, in original cardboard slipcases with mounted title labels. – Very slight browning throughout; on the whole, rich and high-contrast prints. Söhn HDO 120 – Dietzel/Hügel 1158. – Edited by C. G. Heise and H. Mardersteig, published by Kurt Wolff-Verlag, Munich. - Contains original woodcuts by Max Kaus and André Rouveyre (Vol. 2/2) as well as Karl Schmidt-Rottluff (Vol. 3/2), as well as original lithographs by Alexander Archipenko, Carl Hofer and Edwin Scharff (Vol. 3/1) and Alexander Kanoldt (Vol. 3/2). - Slipcase with faint light marks; covers, as is usually the case, with a few small foxing spots here and there. Edges show slight foxing; overall, the volumes are in good condition owing to having been preserved in the publisher’s original protective sleeves. Each approx. 35.5 x 26.5 cm (leaf size). - Original English wrappers with colour lithographed cover titles, in original cardboard slipcases with mounted title labels. - Very slight browning throughout. Overall, rich and high-contrast prints. - For references, see above. - Contains original woodcuts by Max Kaus and André Rouveyre (vol. 2/2) as well as Karl Schmidt-Rottluff (vol. 3/2), and original lithographs by Alexander Archipenko, Carl Hofer, and Edwin Scharff (vol. 3/1) as well as Alexander Kanoldt (vol. 3/2). - Edges slightly foxed; overall in very good condition due to storage in the publisher’s original slipcases.
