LS/64-xv – Cross on a Right-Hand Slope. 1990. White acrylic on fibreboard. 64 x 64 cm. Monogrammed, dated and bearing the artist’s label on the reverse, with typographic details of the work on the label. – Slight scuffing to the top left-hand corner. Overall in very good condition. An extremely subtle composition playing with various textures.
Friege studied at the Dresden Academy of Fine Arts from 1947 to 1951, under Will Grohmann, amongst others. After fleeing to the West, he later worked as a graphic designer in Remscheid. There, together with his wife Gundis, he ran the Werkstattgalerie für Konkrete Kunst from 1985 to 2005.
Acrylic in white on fibreboard. Monogrammed, dated and with artist’s label on the reverse, bearing typographic details of the work. - Upper left corner slightly bumped. Overall in very good condition.
