Modern and Contemporary Art Concrete Art Pfahler, Georg Karl 5 works. New Year’s greetings 1987–1991. Each a colour silkscreen print on vellum. Each 21 x 21 cm (21 x 42 cm). Each signed, some dated and numbered, and some with a personal dedication. – Margins partly slightly browned and edges partly slightly bumped. Some show faint handling marks; one card has a barely noticeable crease and partial ink bleed on the reverse. Overall in very good condition with excellent prints; the colour is fresh. Five small-format screen prints which Georg Karl Pfahler sent out as New Year’s greetings between 1987 and 1991. The compositions are characterised by clearly layered areas of colour and sharply defined geometric forms – elements that have been characteristic of Pfahler’s work since the early 1960s and established him as a leading exponent of the Hard-Edge style in Germany.
