Woman with a Frog. 1930s. Watercolour on vellum. 50.8 x 41.1 cm. Titled on the reverse. Mounted in places. - Small holes in places from previous mounting, handling marks, edges slightly rubbed, slight stains on the reverse. Overall in very good condition, colours fresh.
An earth-toned, surrealist composition in vibrant watercolours. The Hamburg-based artist Mac Kock trained as a master student of Willy von Beckerath. Following extended travels through France, England and the Orient, he developed a visual language that combines influences of Surrealism with elements of New Objectivity.
