The first of 100 copies. - Poster marking the invitation to the celebration of Galerie Oben’s tenth anniversary on 17 September 1983. - Galerie Oben was a significant venue within the alternative, non-conformist gallery scene of the GDR. Founded in 1973, it quickly developed into one of the most important hubs for avant-garde and oppositional East German art. Alongside leading artists from the GDR, it also represented major figures of West German post-war modernism such as Georg Baselitz.
