Inventory and Contradiction (On: Werner Spies, Max Ernst – Collages). 1974. Colour lithograph on vellum. 32.5 x 24.5 cm (57.5 x 34.5 cm). Signed and numbered. – Only minimal discolouration at the margins; slight ink smudge at the top of the reverse. Overall in very good condition. Excellent print with a wide margin and a watermark at the bottom.
Spies/Leppien, 251. – One of 39 copies outside the main print run. - The right-hand half of the print is similar to Spies/Leppien, 251 C and D, but in olive, red and dark blue, as in Spies/Leppien, 251 A and B.
Colour lithograph on wove paper. Signed and numbered. - Only minimal wear to the margins; slight colour streaks on the reverse at the top. Overall in very well-preserved condition. Superb impression with wide margins and the deckle edge at the bottom. - One of 39 copies outside the main run.
