Signed and numbered. – A very subtle horizontal crease on the upper right-hand margin; slight surface scuffing on the reverse; the lower right-hand corner is slightly dented. Overall, very good condition. An excellent, chalky-looking and high-contrast print of the large, full-format composition.
One of 40 copies. - Sabine Liebchen’s aesthetic is characterised by clear, linear figuration. This work is typical of Liebchen’s oeuvre, in which she frequently depicts women seen from behind. Stylistically, there are influences from Pop Art artists such as Edward Hopper and Alex Katz, but also stylistic affinities with Gerhard Richter’s photorealist phase.
