Rachid KORAICHI (Algeria, born 1947) Two shores, one sea. Paris, Rotary Club Montpellier - atelier Art Estampe, 2008. In-folio (38 x 28 cm), 29 pp, 14 plates, 19 ff. b/w in ff, printed cover, in publisher's blue folder and slipcase. 7 original lithographs by KORAICHI and 7 original lithographs by DI ROSA, signed on the spine, illustrating seven texts chosen by Paul SIBLOT, evoking the relationship between the East and the Mediterranean and between people and the sea, by authors with a singular relationship to the East and to Algeria: Saint-Augustin, Ibn Khaldoun, Emir Abdelkader, Jacques Berque, Albert Camus, Mohammed Dib and Jacques Derrida. Seven colourful portraits of the authors by Di Rosa and seven calligraphies by Rachid Koraichi, including a magnificent composition quoting Albert Camus's words on Algeria. Edition of 300 copies on Arches vellum, all signed by the two artists; no. 208.
