Dated 1965, this oil on panel belongs to Louardiri's mature period, when his singularity was fully asserted. The name "Garden of Eden" encapsulates the artist's characteristic imagination: stylised vegetation, figures embracing in a space with no academic perspective, motifs borrowed from Moroccan decorative arts - carpets, ceramics, painted ceilings.
